I'm Baaaackkkk

Things got a bit hectic here, so I didn't blog. The Havoc x Singe puppies have been leaving to their new homes. We have 2 more leave on Wednesday and Thursday. Now that they can escape the puppy pen I will be glad that they go to their new owners. We have one male that is still looking for his forever home. Trouble (puppy name) is looking for a performance/working home only. He is very driven and needs to work. He is crate trained and has started on basic training. Boy does he love to work.
Fusion, Jen x Singe, has been progressing nicely through puppyhood. She is now 6 months old and is lovely. She LOVES to work, but also loves to come in and cuddle with us. We have been working on her not helping herself to the sheep. We now have her where she will lay outside of the sheep pen while we do chores. Murray has one heck of an agility and herding dogs on his hands. I think I am a little jealous, AGAIN. Last year I stole his Lash to trial. Who knows if I will giver her back this year. Lash and I made it to the DAM finals at Cynosports and placed up in the top.
I was over at Karen Child's place and took some great pictures of her dogs. We are breeding our Skarlet to Karen's Rock. www.hillcrestbordercollies.com/litter.cfm This litter should produce some very working dogs.
Mick, Havoc and Skarlet also had a great time working at Karen's.
Life has gotten busy lately because Connor is now playing soccer and I am the coach. It is hilarious to watch them play.
I will take new pictures of Trouble and post them.

Puppies are 7 weeks old

Oh how the puppies have blossomed in the past week and a half.  They are very playful and love to explore new things.  They have been playing with Fusion and Rosie a lot.  Fusion and Rosie are from our Jen x Singe litter and Jen is Havoc's mom.  These girls are 3/4 sisters to the puppies and absolutely LOVE the puppies.  Rosie is available to a performance or active home.
The first puppy, Mayhem, leaves for his new home on Monday.

Puppies @ 5 1/2 weeks

The Havoc x Singe puppies are growing up so fast.  They have sure come into their own personalities this week.  We have been fortunate to have good weather, for the most part.  We have only had a few days of rain, cold or snow in the past couple of weeks.  If it is not wet or super cold out the puppies can go in their outside pen and play for most of the day.  I love this because they come in nice and tired.  If it is bad weather out then they get to play in the entire dog room.

The first video is of the puppies playing in the dog room.  They met Harry, the Dutch Rabbit.

This video is from yesterday.  I expanded their outside pen and they used every inch of it.

New Puppy Pictures

There are a lot more pictures on our site www.hillcrestbordercollies.com.  I wanted to upload more to my blog, but blogger is being dumb at this moment and not allowing me to.
The puppies are so much fun.  They are explorative, but very into people.  They love to come and pile on our laps.
The weather was a bit cloudy today, but the rain held off and the puppies were able to spend many hours on the grass.

55 Degrees Out

It is 55 degrees outside here today, so the puppies have been able to enjoy their first time outside in the fresh air.  It took them no time at all to start exploring the entire pen.  I am taking advantage of the good weather while we have it because who knows what it will be like tomorrow.
I took some video of them, so I will put it on You Tube tonight.  I have to go get some things done first.
I am going to take new 4 week old pictures of them tomorrow while Connor is at Pre School.  Right now I want them to tire themselves out while enjoying the sun.

Risk

Here is a video of Risk's sliding teeter training and Lash is also at the end.  I am retraining them, this winter, to have a more consistent sliding teeter.

I shot this video from my office because if I am outside with the dogs then they just hover around me.  I can never shoot good video of the dogs playing, but now I can from my office.
